Makeup 

Do you offer airbrush makeup?: Yes we do! Please keep in mind airbrush makeup is definitely dependent on the individual and is not best for everybody. We suggest booking traditional makeup and once your stylist does your mini consultation can discuss the best options for your skin type. Airbrush makeup can always be added as an upgrade for a small fee.

Does makeup services include lashes?: Absolutely! Lashes are essential in completing a makeup look. They will always be included in your hair and makeup or makeup only service.

Help! I’m getting married outside in August, will my makeup last?: Yes! Your makeup is guaranteed to last you throughout the day and night. We don’t recommend it, but some have even kept it for the next day! All of our stylists have worked primarily in the Las Vegas area throughout their careers as beauty professionals. Having long lasting, water proof, smudge proof, Las Vegas heat resistant makeup is a must!

I’m allergic to many makeup brands, could you use my makeup for services? Yes we can and have in the past upon request. Our artists will always bring their kits just in case but we have no issue providing professional makeup application with your products. We want you to feel your absolutely best with no stress! 🙂

Do you offer tattoo cover up?: Yes, tattoo cover up can be added for a small additional fee. Let us know when inquiring if you’re in need of tattoo cover up so we can get the specifics needed.

What brands of makeup do you use?: Our artists use a wide range of professional makeup products from the top brands including: Makeup Forever, Kat Von D, Sephora Brand Cosmetics, Urban Decay, I AM SIN, Benefit, Morphe Brushes, Sigma Beauty, Makeup Geek, Ben Nye and more.

Hair Styling

What styles are included in your hair styling services?: Almost all styles! Vintage, pinup, rockabilly, 1920s-1970s, modern bridal styles, braids, blow outs, updos, downdos, glamorous curls and everything in between! The only exception is avant guarde, extreme hair styles, or editorial looks will be subject to additional fees and must be discussed prior to booking.

How do you prefer my hair to be the day of the appointment?: Please always have your hair 100% dry for your appointment. Our stylists do prefer clean and natural hair. If your hair is 1 day old, no problem. However if it’s 2+ days with lots of product build up be sure to wash the night before.

How long will my hair last?: Our styling techniques guarantee your hair will be picture perfect for your wedding day. Like our makeup, many have kept their hairstyles for up to 2 days after their appointment date! Keep in mind updos will last longer then downdos since the hair is pinned up.

Will you apply and style clip ins?: Yes we will! Be sure to let us know prior to booking so we can add additional time if needed.

What about hair extensions?: Our team has worked with all varieties of hair extensions including clip in, sewn in, wigs, weaves, and more. Keep in mind only 100% human hair extensions and wigs can be styled with heat. At this time we do not offer extension application services, but can absolutely style your extensions or wig.

Do you offer blow-outs?: Yes we do depending on the final style you are trying to achieve. Many styles are best started with a pin curl set on dry hair, especially vintage styles. If you are only wanting a freshly blown out simple or glam look we can absolutely provide that for you!

Do you provide men’s styling and grooming?: Many stylists on our team are also hair stylists behind the chair and are experienced with men’s styling and grooming. If you’re looking for a fresh style or a well groomed bread before you walk down the aisle let us know!

General Questions

How do I book services?: Start your HWR experience by filling out our contact form. You will receive a response within 24-48 hours with all the important details and information. Once you’re ready to reserve your appointment a deposit invoice ( 20% ) and contract will be sent to you via email. Once that is complete you’re all set. Sarah Vamp, our booking director is always available via email to answer any questions or address any updates you may have leading up to your appointment.

How many months in advance should I book?: As soon as you have your wedding or event details confirmed such as time, location and how many people will be needing services. Certain times of the year are busy then others. We will book 18 months in advance however we also can accommodate same week or next day bookings! Sometimes even the same day.

How long do services take?:  Your specific needs will determine how much time will be allotted for your appointment. We want to create a stress free experience for you from the beginning. In general expect hair and makeup to take 90-120 minutes, hair OR makeup only will be 60-90 minutes. Keep in mind of drive time, and getting dressed.

How many stylists will I have?: The number of stylists is determined by the number of people receiving services. Generally if it’s 1-3 people getting services only 1 stylist is needed. For parties of 4+ with both hair and makeup services 2-3 hair and makeup artists are needed.

Can you accommodate large groups?: Yes we can! We have a total of 5 hair and makeup stylists, 1 makeup artist, and 1 nail artist. With sufficient scheduling and time management we can accommodate up to 30 people.

Do you require a deposit?: We require a 20% deposit to reserve all appointment dates. You will receive a password protected site to make your payment.

When is the remaining balance due?: The remaining balance is due on the day of your appointment to your stylist.

What areas do you travel to?:  We travel within Las Vegas and surrounding areas including: North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Henderson, the Strip, downtown Las Vegas, and Fremont St.

Do you travel outside of Las Vegas: Yes, with proper notice and planning we will travel to surrounding states such as California, Arizona, and Utah with paid expenses. There is an additional travel fee if traveling by car . We will fly within all states, with paid travel expenses. Please contact us with more details.

Do you charge a traveling fee?: We do not charge additional fees to travel to you within Las Vegas and surrounding areas. However, where parking, valet or other fees may be incurred because of parking limitations, the client will be held responsible for this payment, to be paid on event date.

Events, Conventions, Fashion Shows, Film and Photo Shoots

Do you provide hair and makeup for non-wedding events: Absolutely. We are available for all of your hair and makeup needs, for any occasion. Bachelorette parties, dinners, night outs, special events, red carpet events, conventions, prom, you name it!

Do you provide hair and makeup services for photo shoots and film?: We love photo shoots! All of our team HWR stylists are experienced in providing professional photo and film ready hair and makeup. Like always we come to you whether it’s on set, on location, or studio.

Is your team experienced with large high volume events?: Yes.Our biggest most popular event is Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender. This passed Viva Las Vegas we had over 100 clients over 4 days time! Most were over the course of 2 consecutive days, with 100% client satisfaction.

Do you offer hair and makeup services for live events and Fashion Shows?: Absolutely! Our team has provided hair and makeup for a variety of live events from small local fashion shows to L.A Fashion week for Betsy Johnson. Las Vegas is the convention and expo capital of the world and our team is prepared to make your models and clients stand out! Our team has regularly provided hair and makeup for large conventions such as M.A.G.I.C.
