How did you find Heads Will Roll Beauty Salon?
I was looking for vintage pinup style makeup on Yelp. I came across photos of ladies who had their hair and makeup done by Heads Will Roll. I went through all of them. Looked up the Heads Will Roll website and Facebook. I knew by the pictures of their work and their personal pictures they were my kind of people. The right girls for my crazy group of women.

We originally planned a wedding in my hometown of Tehachapi, CA. After a lot of complications that were beyond our control the budget kept going up and up. With us paying for everything ourselves it got to be too much. So we sat down and discussed our options. We decided to move our wedding somewhere fun and much easier Vegas. We already had the 1920s theme so we wanted to stick with that theme for our location. After a little research we found The Mob Museum. It fit our style and theme perfectly! Plus it would be fun for all involved. We could get married in a vintage building. In the original courtroom where the mafia was put on trial. So we moved our wedding to Vegas. We decided on September 11, 2016. Having a day most people wouldn’t choose fit us perfectly. After all there is nothing traditional about us. From being together for 11 years. To our personalitys, to already being parents to the two most amazing little boys. My bridesmaids were given simple criteria. I wanted them to choose a neutral color 1920s style dress, hair, and makeup that they loved and felt beautiful in. My dress was modern vintage by Alfred Angelo. I fell in love with the pearls and that it fit the 1920s theme. My head piece was my Great Grandmothers. She wore it when she danced with Al Capone in Chicago. I made all of the bouquets and boutonnieres myself. Our wedding turned out perfectly and was so much fun! From the moment we chose to get married in Vegas, to hiring The Mob Museum and Heads Will Roll. We knew we made the right decision.
How was your HWR experience, from your first inquiry to the end of your appointment?
My experience with Heads Will Roll was phenomenal! From finding them on Yelp to the finished product, I was very nervous after the hassle of finding hair and makeup in my hometown to be such a difficult stressful task. I mean I was booking my appointment as well as that of 6 bridesmaids over the internet and based on pictures. From the moment Sarah contacted me back I was put at ease. It was so simple. All of my questions and concerns were immediately answered. Sarah kept in constant contact and I had a phone number and the names of our ladies from the start. The best part was they came to us in my hotel room! Wow did that make things a whole lot easier. They showed up on time and not only were these amazing ladies good but they were so much fun!!! They were like having girlfriends we had known for years there doing our hair and makeup. My girls and I had an absolute blast. We hope to do business with them over and over again. We would even love to hang out for some more fun given the opportunity. Our hair and makeup came out perfect. Each and every one of us felt beyond beautiful and that is no easy task with seven women. I will also add that our makeup and hair lasted all night and was flawless. We got more compliments then we have ever received.
Tell us more about why you love the vintage style. What were your inspirations for your hair and makeup look for your wedding day?
I love anything vintage, hair, makeup, clothes, houses cars, etc. I grew up in a house that’s over a 100 years old on my families ranch. I think that is where my love of vintage things started. I absolutely love the vintage look because I have always thought women whether they are big small short tall it doesn’t matter. All women are beautiful our uniqueness is what makes us beautiful and we should embrace it. My favorite era is the 1920s. From the fashion, to the men looking like gentlemen, to the fact that our country was having a hard time and we didn’t allow it to break us or our spirits.
